The guest house is situated in Newlands, in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, and is within five minutes drive of the University of Cape Town. It is within easy walking distance of cinemas, shops and restaurants, but it is situated in a treed setting with tranquil secluded courtyard spaces - an oasis in the city.
Newlands rugby and cricket grounds are close by, as are Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Newlands Forest. The city centre and Waterfront are 10 to 15 minutes drive away, the Hout Bay, Kalk Bay, and Camps Bay beaches can be reached in about 20 minutes.
Self Catering Accommodation:
The accommodation comprises three self-catering units, each with its own entrance. The front and back units can be linked, while the Annexe Cottage is close by.
Main House (Front Unit):
One very spacious bedroom/lounge (sleeping up to 4 people: two on a double bed, two on a sleeper couch), with bay window, wooden floors, high ceilings and fireplace area with two couches. There is also a dining room, a small kitchen and a bathroom with shower.
Main House (Back Unit):
Two bedrooms, one very spacious with wooden floors and high ceilings; two bathrooms, one with bath and one with shower; full quarry-tiled kitchen; sunny lounge with beautiful fireplace leading to a beautiful courtyard with handpainted doors and tiles and a barbeque area. The main bedroom contains a double bed and a single bed. The second bedroom contains two single beds. There are mountain views from the lounge and courtyard.
Annexe Cottage:
Separate cottage with lounge (including sleeper couch), good-sized bedroom, en-suite bathroom with shower and small kitchen. Lounge and bedroom both open, via French doors onto a pretty, leafy patio area with barbecue facilities.
