6 - 17 September (Theatre)
This classic fairy tale written by the Brothers Grimm tells the story of a forgetful miller who tells the king that his daughter can spin straw into gold. She manages to do this with the help of a dwarf named Rumpelstitskin. In return she has nothing to give him, so she promises her first-born child to him. In the end she has to guess his unusual name to keep her child from the nasty little dwarf. This enchanting fairy tale is full of laughter and audience participation, and is great holiday fun for the whole family.
