Ice Station

The first ice rink opened in Cape Town in 1971. Since then amazing transformations to the facilities have been made. The now Olympic size ice rink situated within grand west is a very popular facility. The rink is open to the public with the hire of ice skates available, (please see the table provided below for more details).
Whether you wish to organise a party or just go skating with some friends the ice rink is a whole lot of fun.
Remember to bring a change of clothes if you will be skating, and warm clothes are advised, even if you are just there to watch.
There are various figure skating clubs operating from The Ice Station. These clubs are all affiliated to the South African Figure Skating Association (SAFSA)
