The
fabulous beaches of Betty’s Bay. Silver Sands
Beach & Hangklip Dunes lie on the West of Stony
Point Penguin colony in Betty’s Bay. This
beach is at least 4 km long & a great place
for Kite surfing, Sand boarding & walking (dogs
are allowed on leashes). On a still day the beach
is also great for picnicking, swimming, tanning & surfing.
However the beach is exposed to all winds but has
loads of space & great views of the Kogelberg
Mountains.
Jock’s Bay & Shelly Beach are small coves situated in the vicinity
of the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden in Betty’s Bay. These beaches
are more sheltered with rock pools & fynbos between them. Great for young
kids, paddling, shell collecting, tanning, picnicking & relaxing.
