Mouth Bass fishing, Clanwilliam Dam is one of the best
locations in the Country. It is well suited for a variety
of fishing styles. The different types of fishing spots
range from rock flats to deep drop-offs, from rock caves
to trees and other various structures. If you were to explore
the point where the Oliphants River feeds into Clanwilliam
Dam (approx 10km further), you can benefit from the different
types of fishing spots available. You can fish from the
bank so a boat is not a necessity. Clanwilliam is situated
in the Cedarburg Mountains, which is situated about 3 Hrs
drive from Cape Town. Some fishing in the river can also
be done if you take the road out towards Klawer. Accommodation
is available, either within the town or on the waters edge. |
