for its Large and Small Mouth Black Bass, Theewaterskloof
Dam also has some Trout and Carp. This venue is rated as
one of Southern Africa's top Large Mouth Bass locations.
Due to the sheer size of the dam it makes the perfect location
for populating Large Mouth Bass. A boat is a good idea
as the dam is quite big although fishing from the shore
is possible in certain areas. Located only 1.5 hrs drive
from Cape Town makes it ideal for a day out fishing.
The Bass here are of the Florida Bass strain and due to the large area of the
dam they can grow to become quite large.
Theewaterskloof Dam is set in the Helderberg Mountains and nestled between the
towns of Franshoek and Villiersdorp. |
