in Somerset West is one of the Capes most majestic golf
courses. This is a private golfing estate where guests
of the Erinvale Estate hotel are permitted to play as members.
The designer of the 18 hole, par 72 golf course is one of South Africa’s
golfing greats, none other than Gary Player.
The first 9 holes allow you to gently get into your game before the more challenging
back 9. Spoiled by spectacular views of the Strand and Gordon's Bay area you
are faced with a real challenge if you are not on form.
The toughest hole is reputed to be the downhill, par-four 17th. The course currently
hosts the annual SAA Open. |
