The Royal
Cape Golf Course is the oldest club in South Africa and
is a fine test of players golfing abilities. The course
has hosted the SA Open 10 times and the SA Amateur Championships
8 times. A championship rated parkland course that will
demand extreme accuracy off the tee as the fairways are
narrow. Wayward shots can be heavily penalized if you stray
into the trees or land in the numerous water hazards around
the course.
This is a great course worthy of its championship rating. The most difficult
holes are the par-4 3rd and the par-4 14th If the wind is blowing the course
is relatively unprotected from the ‘South Easter’ so your accuracy
will really be tested. The course boasts great scenic views of Table Mountain. |
