Full day horse trails are offered with well trained responsible horses, crossing over the Botterberg to Philadelphia for lunch at the "arty" restaurant Pepper-Tree and back again. About 30 km riding all in all, in other words about 4 to 5 hours in the saddle and a 1 1/2 hour lunch break.
Including untacking and saddling the horses before and after lunch the entire ride starts and ends at - 10 am to about 4:30 or 5 pm. For not so experienced riders we offer a half day ride of about 15 km including a picnic lunch and lovely wine tasting at a farm-dam, but the riding is in open country with only the occasional farm labourers to be seen.
On the way back you have in front of you the entire Table Bay with Cape Town and the Table Mountain as backdrop. I don't think you can get any better. |
