The lives we now lead have become so fast paced and achievement driven. We seem to rush from early in the morning until late at night as we tackle important tasks and projects and hurry to get things done. Whether it be in the workplace or throughout our day-to-day lives we have become so focused on schedules and crossing tasks off of our to-do lists in the hope of doing more work, earning more money and achieving more success. Is it any wonder that people have begun to forget how to relax, how to have fun, how to stop and truly appreciate the moments that go by.
We believe that by introducing moments of purposeful play and good genuine fun we can establish a foundation on which to build and develop passion, motivation and healthy relationships – all of which are essential for establishing an environment where growth can occur.
AMAZING RACE:
Teams are selected randomly so as to create a mix of different personalities and allow people who would not ordinarily interact with each other to work together along the way. With adrenaline and excitement mounting from the very beginning, teams begin the race around Cape Town using cryptic clues and completing road blocks to further them on their journey. Not only will participants need to put their heads together to decipher clues that will send them on to their destination, but will also have to pool their skills and talents to be able to master the awesome physical and mental challenges. And just to add a little twist and some room for strategic game planning teams are required to obtain certain objects and build up a photo gallery which all have to be brought to the finish line before a winner is announced.

Teams (or tribes) are selected at random and are required to come up with a team identity by choosing a tribe name and setting up base camp with a flag and shelter. Challenges are both mental as well as physical and tribes compete against other tribes for points (jury bones). The Survivor challenges emphasisethe importance of communication between tribe members, establishing trust and forming strategies that work for the whole tribe by problem solving. Tribe members need to co-operate with each other in order to achieve a common goal which stresses the importance of working as a team as well as the importance of leadership when it is needed in order to benefit the tribe and further their rankings in the game. The main objective of the Survivor challenge is to demonstrate how working together can be fun and still be effective as well as the importance of team identity and being able to strive towards an ultimate common goal.
