Examples
of Activities: |
The Selection of Activities that are included in the above rates quoted.
Survivor Series:
The Teams then embark on the Survivor Challenge in a Round Robin Tournament so as to ensure that nobody stands around and waits and all teams are actively completing tasks in the allocated time period. The tasks all comprise of active
and passive roles, which enable the guests that are non-active for various reasons to take on the role of facilitation within the team and then those that can actively participate, each exercise however requires both elements of participation to be completed successfully.
Treasure Hunt:
The teams will all receive clues that will direct them in various directions around the camp area, they may be required to perform certain tasks or solve puzzles at various points en-route to receive the next clue, eg: one team member may have
to abseil half way down the abseil site to collect next clue etc, there will be a total of 9 clues leading them to the final treasure. The treasure can be something “tongue in cheek” / something planned by the client themselves to tie in with
their strategic planning session held prior to the event or we could package up a goodie bag for each team member at an additional cost depending on budget supplied by client, many clients provide their own it is really entirely up to you.
Crash Pad Auction:
Group gets split into teams, each team is supplied with the following;
Black bag, straws, tape, marshmallows, string and one egg.
The teams are then required to build / construct a crash pad for the egg, so it does not break, the egg will then be dropped from various levels until it breaks, the winner is the team with an egg intact after dropping it from the highest
point.
(Minimum group size 6 pax)
River Rafting
Catty Paintball:
Game Play - All games are 20 minutes long, and we try to fit as many games into a booked session as possible. (So remember, the more time your group spends smoking and eating the less game time you will have. We have certain standard games which we play. You are however welcome to be inventive and think up some new ones. We are quite happy to play your 'home brewed'
games as long they are safe.
Zombie - This is usually played at the end of day, and quite simply is a 'shoot em up' type of game where there is no game objective. No one is out until they run out of pellets. This game is hugely popular, which could prove there are some really strange people out there.
Flag Capture - In this game teams start at opposing bases at either end of the field. The objective is to get to the other teams base without being shot, Capture their flag and return it to your own base. The first team to succeed wins. Don't
forget you have to do this without being tagged by the 'enemy'.
Interactive Raft Building:
- In the conference room one group are the "raft designers"
- On the lawn “raft builders”
- messengers the “living email... “
Nail Game:
See if your team can balance 16 nails on top of one nail without using anything else but the nails
Elevated Buckets:
Participants will each have a demarcated area. Four buckets are placed in a square, all in an equal distance from each other. The participants are not allowed to move the four buckets at all. They will each be given four planks-all of the same size. The participants are required to find a way to interlink the planks in the middle of the demarcated area so that they will able to suspend the weight of a 5th bucket full of water. Sounds easy but get people thinking out of the box
Raft Building
With all the building materials collected during the challenges the teams are required to build a raft. On completion of the rafts the teams will carry their rafts into the river and have a race. All materials used for the raft building can float, life jackets and safety marshals also available. GOOD LUCK HUCKLEBERRY FINN
Depending on how much time we have, there are three versions of this activity:
Option One
Teams get to accumulate building materials by successfully completing the interactive team building activates throughout the day. For every activity they complete teams are awarded either buckets poles or ropes for the raft building. As the final activity teams will use only materials collected during the challenges to build their rafts and compete in the water with the other teams
Option two
Teams will be given the same building materials for their rafts. Teams are then required to draw a design of their raft.
Teams are briefing that they will build their rafts as per their design…. A slight twist to the tale-when the teams are done with their designs they will be asked to swap their designs and get to build the other team’s design.
Option Three
Following the team building challenges the teams are all required to put together the building materials collected from the activities. We will split the whole group into two teams. The one team is locked away in a break away area. The other stays with all the building materials. The locked away team is responsible for coming up with the design of the raft while the other will get to build the design. During the designing and building process the two groups are not allowed to meet. They can however choose one or two people that the group feels are the most effective communicators to be messengers. The messengers will go to the designers to see the design and get information on the design but are not allowed to take the design to the builders. Following the completion of the building of the raft the designers will bring their design and compare it to the raft. A certain number of participants are then required to put the raft to the test in the water.
Wooden Skis
Participants will get a pair of wooden ski. Each pair has a rope that the participants will need to hold onto at all times and synchronise their hand and feet movement to make forward movements as a team. To confuse them we will make the two team members face each other, "which is left and which is right now that you are facing each other"
Blind Folded paddle
The teams will each get a two man inflatable river rafting boat, with one paddle. The person at the back controlling the boat is blind folded so that they can’t see where they are going. The teammate at the front is the captain and the eyes. They could be asked to retrieve something in the middle of the river or a paddle around an obstacle. Communication is key as the person controlling the boat can not see where they are going, while the one who can see has no control of the
boat at all.
Elevated Mazes
The activity comprises of a wooden Maze that has a pulley system. Four team members are allowed to control the maze. The four team members controlling the maze are blind folded and depend on a team mate who is not blind folded to tell
them how to move a ball inside the maze. Communication is key as the blind folded people can not see where the ball is.
Magic Carpet
All team members have to stand on a mate that can barely fit all team members. The team has to find a way to turn the mate up side down without any of he team members stepping off the mate; it really gets people to work as a team.
Free Standing Tower
Participants are required to build tallest free-standing tower using supplied equipment only
Square Watering Can
Participants are required to use supplied ropes and a can to fill up a bucket of water without stepping into the demarcated Zone
Boules Patang
Ancient game of Boules Patang
Bottle ‘n Rope
Participants are required to empty a bottle full of water to a certain level. Participants are not allowed to get inside the demarcated are. Participants could also be asked to remove the bottle from the marked area using the ropes but without getting in the marked Zone.
Helium Stick
See if you can lower the magic stick to the ground
Human Knot
The teams are tied with pieces of rope with their hands crossing each other. The team is required to use teamwork and communication to unravel themselves into a full circle without untying themselves from the ropes
The Selection of Activities that are not included in the above rates quoted and can be costed accordingly to the group size and requirements:
