Day
1 We will transfer you from Cape Town International
to your city Hotel After some time relaxing you
will visit Table Mountain offering stunning views
of the city and surrounding countryside. Dinner
is included at the Hotel.
Day 2 After a hearty
breakfast we will visit some of the main attractions
of the Peninsula,including the Victorian village
of Simonstown, and Cape Point Nature Reserve,where
you have the option of taking the funicular up
to the Point. Dinner is included at the Hotel
Day 3 You will
have the morning off to relax at the Hotel and
close to lunchtime we will take a drive up the
West Coast where you can have lunch at a lovely
seaside restaurant. Dinner included at the Hotel
Day 4 After breakfast we bid farewell
to the Mother City and will head inland.An early
afternoon arrival at a Hot Springs resort where
you are able to indulge in the therapeutic waters
and pampmer yourself Overnight at the resort
Day 5 An early
departure and we head into the Small Karoo(semi
desert area) which we call Big Sky country,our
destination being Oudtshoorn and a visit to the
prehistoric Cango Caves. Overnight in Oudtshoorn
Day 6 This morning we will visit
one of the Ostrich farms in the area,after which
we depart for the Garden Route via the spectacular
Outeniqua Pass offering amazing views of the
surrounding area. We overnight at the Wilderness
Resort
Day 7 After breakfast
we will visit the George Railway Museum,quite
something to see,and you will board the Outeniqua
Steam Train for 2,5 hour journey through the
lake district,destination being Knysna You can
browse the lovely Waterfront shops and after
lunch we have surprise visit many past guests
have described as very humbling Overnight at
the Widerness Resort
Day 8 After
checkout we head for Mossel Bay and the interesting
Maritime Museum. For those brave at heart the
opportunity to try Bunjee jumping or just to
watch this activity. We then head for the private
Safari Park hosting the Big 5(Elephant,Rhino,Buffalo,Lion,Leopard)
You will be taken out in open Landrovers to view
the animals, then a delicious traditional South
African Buffet dinner served in a Boma (eating
hut)
Day 9 After a good
nights rest you will be taken out again to view
the animals,and after breakfast we visit the
reptile center we checkout and head into the
Overberg farming region with a stop at Swellendam
and a visit to the Drostdy Museum. Our destination
today is the most southern point of Africa where
you overnight at an upmarket Guest House. Late
afternoon to explore.
Day 10 This
morning we will visit the most southern point
where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet,and
the opportunity to climb to the top of of the
lovely old lighthouse situated here. We will
also visit the local quaint fishing harbour hoping
to see the Stingrays that frequent this area.
We then depart heading further into the Overberg
and for the pretty seaside village of Kleinmond
with its 11km white sand beach overnight here
at a typical small country Hotel where in winter
(July to November) you have excellent sightings
of the Whales
Day 11 We will
visit the lovely town of Hermanus,where you can
browse the shops or African craft market for
those souvenirs. Lunch at a restaurant offering
180 deg ocean views and renowned for their fish
dishes. Overnight Kleinmond
Day 12 A half day visit to the local
Penguin Colony and Botanical Gardens home to
our National Flower,and for those with a sweet
tooth, tea and an assortment of homemade cakes
make this a restful day out Overnight Kleinmond
Day 13 After breakfast,
we will travel the scenic coastal route, regarded
as one of the most beautiful drives in the world
as we wind our way to Stellenbosch home of the
winelands region, where you overnight at a Boutique
Hotel, On the way we will visit one of the most
beautiful Historic Wine Estates of this area
Day 14 We will explore more of this
historic town,before taking you to the airport
for your flight home where we will wish you Hamba
Kahle (Zulu language for Go in Peace) and we
are sure you will take home many wonderful memories
of your visit to the Rainbow Nation. |
