Revel Adventures is a core adventure tour operator based in Cape Town. It was started in 2003, originally offering only sand boarding as an activity, but steadily the business grew, building a good reputation and adding new tours and activities over time.
Revel Adventures now boasts 19 half day and full day tours and activities backed up by a professional and friendly team of office staff and guides who all have a passion for outdoor adventure.
Revel Adventures has always had a simple philosophy, to provide fun outdoor adventure experiences with high quality equipment with a professional yet laid back attitude.
Full Day Sand Boarding
DETAILS
This full day adventure takes you through the basics of sand boarding, from learning how to stand up and gain balance to cruising down the dunes at high speeds that will get your adrenaline flowing! This is not as hard as you may initially think, so don’t worry if you have no previous experience with snow boarding or other board sports, our guides will show you everything you need to know to ensure you have an awesome day out on the dunes!
ITINERARY
You will be picked up by a Revel Adventures Sand board instructor at 08:00 and
driven along the N2 past Gordon’s Bay and along the scenic coastal road of
Clarence Drive which hugs the False Bay coastline. When you arrive at the massive Betty’s Bay sand dunes you will receive a safety briefing before shown the basics of Sand Boarding and then the fun begins... cruising and carving at speed down steep sand dunes!
Half Day Surfing
DETAILS
Have you ever wanted to experience what it feels like to glide down the open face of a moving wave?! Our surf lessons are conducted at a beach break with perfect waves for beginners and intermediates. Our instructors have many years of surfing experience and have helped hundreds of learners find their feet. We also include a lesson on ocean awareness. We will get you into the surf and onto your feet!
ITINERARY
You will be picked up by a Revel Adventures instructor at 08:00 and taken to either Big Bay Blouberg or Muizenberg (depending on surf condition) where you will be kitted out with your wetsuit and surf board. You will then have a short warm up and a lesson on ocean awareness on the beach before heading into the surf and getting taught exactly how to paddle into a wave and stand up! After 1.5 hours of being taught to surf you will be given the chance to surf by yourself!
Sand boarding / Kloofing Combo
You will be picked up by a Revel Adventures Sandboard instructor and Kloofing guide at 07:00 and driven along the N2 past Gordon’s Bay and along the scenic coastal road of Clarence Drive which hugs the False Bay coastline. When you arrive at the massive Betty’s Bay sand dunes you will receive a safety briefing before shown the basics of Sand Boarding and then the fun begins... cruising and carving at speed down steep sand dunes! From the sand dunes we head to Crystal Pools where we start with a 45 minute walk up a beautiful gorge to the large rock pools and waterfalls. This is where we spend the rest of the day jumping of the cliffs, exploring the higher pools and relaxing in the sun.
