a special occasion demands a particularly beautiful
setting. For this reason, Diemersfontein, named
best Wedding Venue 2004 at the African Bridal Awards,
has been an ever increasingly popular choice for
newlyweds to make their vows and to enjoy their
honeymoon.
We find that wedding parties that move in a day
or so before the ceremony, have a chance to relax
and settle in, and stay until breakfast, after
the wedding, work best. It is a chance for you
to "own" your venue for a while and
get to unwind and feel confident in the people
and place that will make your day special. Accordingly
our wedding package includes the cost of a minimum
of ten rooms. (Bride and Groom receive complimentary
accommodation) Our wedding co-ordinator can recommend
any number of service providers from flowers, free-form
coverings and photography to gazebos, draping,
decor and music.

other celebration, Diemersfontein provides the
attention to detail and personal service to ensure
that your indoor or garden function will be a success,
and that you will be able to relax and enjoy yourselves
Our resident Chef - Johan van Schalkwyk offers
a variety of menus that can be tailor-made to suit
your specific requirements. Costs of wedding menus
start at R200 per person up to R265 per person.
Brunch and Lunch Menu's are for weekday and Friday
weddings only. Outside caterers are only allowed
under exceptional circumstances.
Bar Facilities
Diemersfontein is fully licensed and a full bar
can be set up to your specifications. Diemersfontein
offers our own award-winning red and white wine
varietals? Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and
Pinotage, Viognier, blends such as Summer's Lease
and Heaven's Eye, Thokozani red and white blends
and Thokozani Rose. Sparkling wine and champagne
may be brought in at R40.00 corkage fee per bottle
and Diemersfontein wines are offered to you at
special wedding prices. Since we are a wine estate
we regret that no other wine may be brought in
to your function.
Garden Functions
Functions in our garden are truly memorable occasions.
With the Cape mountains and rolling farmlands as
the backdrop, it is perhaps one of the most beautiful
places to get married, and enjoy your special event.
We can cater for up to 200 people per event staged
in the gardens.
Banquet Hall
Our banqueting venue accommodates 80 people with
dancing and 120 people without dancing.
Menu prices exclude hire of function hall and gardens.
An additional venue hire is charged for tables, chairs,
linen, crockery and cutlery. |
