Hillcrest
Estate, nestled in the rocky Tygerberg Hills, boasts a
panoramic view of Table Mountain, Robben Island and northwards,
along the west coast. Historically, a stone quarry on the
estate supplied material for the construction of Cape Town's
roads. The farm was, and still is head quarters to the
engineering company Haw & Inglis.
However due to it's
prime location and suitability to olive and wine farming
it has slowly transformed into a working farm producing
high quality olives, oils and wine. Hillcrest Restaurant:
We like to keep things very relaxed and informal, with
an upmarket flare. Our general food style is Tuscan, and
Mediterranean, yet we adhere to our South African roots
as well. |
