Since
1689 the magnificent wine estate, Scholtzenhof has passed
through many and varied generations over the years. Prior
to the release of Mandela and the first democratic elections,
the farm and the property had fallen on hard times, when
the Forrester Family came to the rescue. They restored
the 16th century homestead, replanting vines and developing
wines of quality. Today we have nearly 40ha of premium
producing vineyard.
Our flagship is naturally Chenin Blanc,
with Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cab Franc, Petit Verdot,
Grenache, Mourvedre, and Shiraz.
The range of top quality
wines is broadly available in good restaurants and exported
to 14 countries around the globe. Please do come and visit
